Serious Daddy Issues

Ok, that headline is clearly a play on the cliche. But, I’d like to confess that I do have some “daddy issues” for this week’s World Music Show (6/16). And the issues lie squarely with me in that, being a father, I have no problem with sharing my World Music tastes and library with my kids.

Crosseyed & Painless

Don’t let that title scare you. On this week’s World Music Show (6/9) neither of those things will happen. However, it is a reference to one of the first tracks we’ll be hearing from the latest CD by Angelique Kidjo. But more on that in a moment.

For the roundabout overview, for those in a rush, this week’s show will be filled a bit of new music, a bit of 2-Tone music, some Irish tracks and a chunk of percussion.

Everyone's Favorite Time of Year

It’s one of my favorite times of year but it has nothing to do with the seasons or the upcoming Father’s Day holiday (though, I do have a tiny wish list of possible gifts). On the contrary, it’s the time when I cull together my annual or semi-annual World Music Show “covers” edition (6/2). And what that means for you is that for two hours you’ll get to hear some really fantastic versions of some popular and not-so-popular Rock, Pop and even Rap tunes done with a World Music beat.
