It’s time once again for the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival and Academy! The festival features symphonic and chamber concerts over a four-week period from July 8th to August 6th. It also attracts first-rate musicians to participate as performers and educators, as part of the Wintergreen Summer Music Academy.
On this week’s World Music Show (7-1) we’re going to revisit my on-again/off-again segment known as A Different Spin, in which I get the chance to speak to musicians and people in the music industry who are doing amazing things. Some people are local, some are not, as is the case with this weeks guest.
Next week (June 25-28), Richmond will be the host city for the American Guild of Organists Regional Mid-Atlantic Convention. This will feature various workshops, recitals and concerts taking place each day across the city. It’s a great opportunity to hear the wonderful instruments we have in Richmond's churches. All recitals and concerts are open to the general public.
Organizers Grant Hellmers and Bob Gallagher stopped by our 88.9 WCVE studios to chat about the performances you’ll be able to attend.
