VCU's 2017-18 Rennolds Chamber Concert Series Opens This Saturday

VCU’s Department of Music has presented the top chamber music performers in the world to Richmond audiences for more than thirty years. The Mary Anne Rennolds Chamber Concert Series was originally founded as the Terrace Concerts and debuted in 1983 in partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The series was named for Rennolds, who was one of Richmond’s greatest music patrons.

Susanna Klein is Assistant Professor of Violin and Coordinator of Strings at VCU. She stopped by the 88.9 WCVE studios to chat with me about the upcoming season that begins with a performance by the iconic Emerson String Quartet.

Listen in as Susanna talks about the various performers on this year’s schedule and we share some short musical excerpts.

Yours in good music,
