The Miró Quartet was established in 1995 and some of the first works they performed for competitions were the Beethoven quartets. They now have a long history with the Beethoven cycle and plan to release them all to celebrate their 25th anniversary season and Beethoven's 250th birthday in 2020.
Their most recent release is the String Quartet in C sharp minor, Opus 131. Cellist Joshua Gindele and violist John Largess sat down with me to discuss this work (which is available for download from their website HERE) and all you want to know about the Miró Quartet.
Yours in good music,
