Help your Community Idea Stations by volunteering for our upcoming Television Spring Pledge campaign, March 6-28, 2010. These Membership Campaigns for TV and radio are the Community Idea Stations’ most visible fundraising efforts.
 
Why do we need volunteers? Pledge volunteers help us by answering phones from viewers who would like to become members or to renew memberships. With your help, our pledge campaigns allow us to continue airing high-quality programs and obtain new ones.  

If you’re new to volunteering, don’t worry – it’s simple! We will train you and show you the ropes. Here’s your chance to be a part of the excitement, meet new people and help us raise the money needed to keep WCVE Public TV strong in central Virginia. If you’d like to bring a group of friends or co-workers to volunteer… we would love that too! Many companies and civic organizations enjoy bringing a team to our studios for membership drives. For example, we have groups from local businesses, church groups, civic organizations and schools who volunteer together and have a wonderful time.

Becoming a member of our volunteer family is a great way to show your support for public broadcasting and all the quality programming we offer. You really can make a difference!

The shifts are as follows:
Monday-Friday evenings:  (approx.) 7:00pm-11pm
Saturdays: (approx.) 9:30am-2pm/1:45pm-6:45pm/6:30pm-11:00pm
Sundays: (approx.) 2:00pm-6:30pm/6:30pm-11:00pm
