The beauty of exploring the sounds of World Beat music is that around every note, there is usually a very unique, well played instrument. On this week's World Music Show (7/21), there will be a calvacade of sounds emanating from a variety of instruments not normally heard on commercial radio.

One of my favorite functions on my iPod or in my car CD player is the shuffle or random button. Why? Because I like musical surprises, especially after listening to a CD I love in its natural progression over and over and over again. So, after that repetition, I’m always ready to mix it up. With that personal admission said, on this weeks World Music Show (7/14), I’m once again hitting the shuffle button to see where the world musical nuggets fall.

Another return guest host on Time for the Blues (7/8/12) this week! John and I learn from Kevin Wiese that blues influences in fusion and high powered guitar (re:shredding) can be a blast!
