Your Community Idea Stations Provide Coverage of the Governor's Address and General Assembly Sessions

Your Community Idea Stations will broadcast the sessions of the General Assembly live, as well as provide a weekly wrap-up program. The 2012 legislative session is scheduled to convene on January 11 and end on March 10.

WCVE PBS and WHTJ PBS, as well as WCVE Public Radio, will carry Governor Bob McDonnell's State of the Commonwealth address live on Wednesday, January 11 at 7 p.m. 

"Capitol Events" is a weekly 30-minute news and interview program, hosted by Bill Miller with a session wrap-up provided by Craig Carper, WCVE's Capitol Reporter and Analyst. Bill interviews politicians and political analysts at the Richmond State Capitol each week during the General Assembly Session to examine the issues of the week, track important legislation, and shed light on the political process. Tune in Fridays, beginning January 20, at 11:00 p.m. on WCVE PBS and WHTJ PBS.

WCVW PBS will broadcast the Senate live from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. each weekday beginning Wednesday, January 11 and will continue until the end of the session.
