WCVE Public Radio Back at Full Power

We are pleased that we now have WCVE Public Radio back at full power. The many comments we’ve received over the past few days have made it abundantly clear that we have programming that you value and rely on.

Our relationship with you is a partnership – we want to make a difference in your lives – just as you make a difference for us. We are pleased to once again be at full strength and want to thank you for your patience and support.

Mr. Monk and Staff,
Your signal issue confirmed the old adage, "We don't know what we had until it's gone." WCVE is such an automatic jumpstart to my early rise that I was numb, in cognitive shock, until you came back. Thank you for your efforts to restore the signal and repair our cultural psyche. I will save to give a better donation this year. God bless you all and thank you.

While you were "off air" - I felt all at sea - alone in a lifeboat without knowing what was happening in the big, wide world. Now that you're back, I am now again in sight of land and firmly anchored. Thank you.

I can't describe how bereft I felt without WCVE-FM radio the last few days--I'm soooooo dependent, it's scary!

I have been listening to WCVE in the mornings for over 30 years. Breakfast hadn't been the same since Friday and the ride to work either. Glad you're back!

I just heard Curtis Monk's announcement over the radio that WCVE is back at full power. I had thought the problem was with my radio! I was ready to take the car in to the Honda dealership to have them look at it. It didn't occur to me that a radio station could be having signal problems for so long. Even when the signal came back and I started hearing WCVE again, I STILL thought the problem had been my radio or antenna. I wasn't happy about the idea of having to spend money to get the radio fixed, but I thought I can't NOT live without WCVE public radio.
Thank you - and please, try not to let it happen again!

It was with great pleasure that I listened to "All Things Considered" on my way home from work today. WCVE Public Radio was sorely missed.

It has been a very depressing period.
All I could hear was Christian station. Believe me I love Jesus, but I do not turn to radio to listen to him.
Still having some static problems

Listening to the other local morning shows made my ears bleed this week. My husband and I agree that we ought to give you more money than we already do - I was afraid the bad guys had finally shut you down!!

You are back on the air!! HALLELUJAH!!! You have been GREATLY missed because WCVE-FM is my constant daytime companion!

The breakdown occurred on the worst possible weekend(for me) because the Met opera," Anna Bolena", which aired this

past Saturday was new to this season and the music is especially beautiful. BOO HOO that it couldn't be heard here on most

radios. BIG disappointment! Didn't find out until too late that I could have been listened to it on line. Oh well---

A LONGTIME devoted listener and Opera lover

.Dear WCVE,
A special THANK YOU to all of your hardworking staff!! I know that these last days of power outage & reduced power broadcasting was harder on you than on us listeners. One thing the absence of the broadcast does, is reinforce the importance of your station & work to the entire community.
peace, MaryCath.

It's day #6 for me, and all I hear is static with a prolonged high pitched sound. (Friday through today, Wednesday, so far.)

Thank you so much! It has been very dull without WCVE!!

I'm so glad! For 2 1/2 days my radio at work has been on static/white noise. How pathetic is that?
