ConnectVA 501 Tech Club, in partnership with Community Idea Stations, will present an NTEN Community Series Event: “2012 Social Media for Nonprofits Conference–From Broadcast Media to Social Media: The Best of Both Worlds” on December 6, 2012 starting at 3:00 p.m.

Understanding the power of social media and how to harness it effectively can help nonprofit organizations engage their community and rally people to their cause, but how does it fit in with more traditional types of media that retain their ability to reach a huge audience?

Hi Marjorie -

FYI - the social media for non-profits conference will be at the station -but the date is December 6th, and the conference will be put on by Connect VA and NTEN 501 Tech Club. It looks like it'll be a great conference for non-profits seeking to use social media to engage with their constituents and donors!
